Dartmoor View and Exmoor View are hand built log cabins with their own hot tubs and garden area where guests can enjoy a luxury get away in the quiet beauty of North Devon. They have both been refurbished for 2024 - we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy them
Our story
On the southern fringes of Exmoor, Matt and Jenny’s family farm has far-reaching views to Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor. In 2019 they commissioned a log cabin to be built where guests could enjoy a luxury glamping experience immersed in the glorious countryside – Dartmoor View was the result.
In 2022 they were delighted to open a second cabin, Exmoor View, situated on the opposite side of the field to take advantage of the stunning, unspoilt view to Exmoor.
The cabins
The log cabins have been hand built using British timber and finished to the highest standards. Everything inside has been made with your comfort in mind - from the Egyptian cotton linen to the underfloor heating, well-equipped little kitchens and comfy sofas.
The panoramic view provides an ever-changing backdrop to your stay in the daytime, while the awe-inspiring, world famous dark skies of Exmoor will frame the cabin and hot tub at night.
The cabin itself is stunning - I've never stayed anywhere quite like it, so cosy and peaceful. It was just what we were looking for.

Exmoor produced 'Miles' tea and coffee, together with homemade biscuits and milk will be waiting for you on arrival.

Please be aware that this is a working farm, with farm machinery and livestock around. Unfortunately, we can’t accept any pets or children.

There are no street lights and it can be damp and uneven underfoot. In the dark, the path to Exmoor View Cabin is lit by pillar lights, and solar powered fairy lights enhance both of the decking areas.

Sleeping arrangements - separate bedroom with double bed. Egyptian cotton bedlinen, towels and bathrobes provided.

Bathroom - electric shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink. Complementary Bramley toiletries.
​
Kitchen - well stocked kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle.
​
Heating and lighting – underfloor heating, electric lighting.
​
Hot tub - this is electric and included in the price of your stay - no need to heat up, it will be ready for when you arrive! We suggest packing some flip flops or similar to pad across the decking to get to the hot tub as it can get slippery when wet. Fairy lights surround the hot tub for a truly romantic feel.

Entertainments - TV with Freeview, mobile signal including 4G, board games and cards. OS map and books. Free WiFi.

Fire pit - the cosy enclosed gardens each have a fire pitt. Logs available on request.
